NIIBS is a degree awarding institute recognized by the Government of Sri Lanka under the provisions of the Universities Act No.16 of 1978. NIIBS aspires to the development, protection and dissemination of Buddhist culture. NIIBS intends on educating, inspiring and preparing students to engage in global human health, cultural and social well-being with continuously lifelong learning, critical thinking, personal accomplishments and teamwork spirit.
Concept
For NIIBS, our objective was to design a modern, user-friendly website that reflects its identity as a degree-awarding institute recognized by the Government of Sri Lanka. The website needed to showcase NIIBS’s mission of preserving and promoting Buddhist culture while highlighting its academic programs, research, and student-focused initiatives.
We analyzed the needs of prospective students, parents, faculty, and international visitors to ensure the platform serves as both an informational hub and a digital gateway to the institute. The design emphasized clear navigation, program details, admission guidance, and institutional updates, making it easy for users to explore educational opportunities and stay connected with NIIBS.
Results
The completed website has enhanced NIIBS’s digital presence, strengthening its reputation as a higher education institute with a unique cultural mission. Students and stakeholders can now easily access academic information, admission details, and institutional resources.
For NIIBS, this has resulted in greater visibility, improved student engagement, and a stronger platform to communicate its values of lifelong learning, critical thinking, and cultural preservation. Developed by DigiFox, the website serves as both an academic portal and a representation of NIIBS’s vision of preparing students to contribute positively to global society.
